BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

To get your best results for body hair removal, drink a lot of water and exfoliate 24 hours before or the day of your appointment with a scrub or mitt to remove dead skin cells. Hydrate your skin with a simple lotion 24 hours before your appointment. You can take a tylenol 45 minutes to an hour before the appointment to take off the edge if needed.

I want the hair to be 1/4 an inch long (think of a long grain of rice) to make sure the hair comes out properly. If you have shaved, wait two weeks until you come in for an appointment.

For facial hair removal discontinue Retin-A 14 days before your appointment and stop any harsh exfoliation products a few nights before the appointment. Plan a day where you don’t have any important events so you can let your skin breathe make up and sunscreen free.

AFTER CARE:

-DO’S:

Wear loose clothing and breathable underwear right after your appointment.

Exfoliate 24 to 48 hours after your body hair removal appointment. Continue to exfoliate 2 to 3 times a week and hydrate with a body lotion until your next service.

If you are getting facial hair removal you can wash your face a few hours after your appointment if you are prone to breaking out.

DONT’S

Exercise after your hair removal appointment, wear tight clothing (like leggings) or go in the bath, a pool, ocean, or the sauna (try to avoid heat.). Do not use anything abrasive on the skin in the first 24 hours.

Don’t use heavy lotions or oils on the face after facial hair removal. Do not use exfoliating products on the skin for 24 to 48 hours after facial hair removal. Try to avoid touching your face for 24 hours (I know it’s tempting.)
